    The purpose of gravity effluent treatment ponds or oil-water separation unit API is to treat industrial and sanitary effluents of Houdigar refinery of large industries of the country and also to separate the chemicals used in the units before entering the nature cycle in order to preserve the environment.

    Introducing the API unit

    This unit includes three parts: sanitary wastewater treatment, chemical separation and oil water treatment.

    The task of the API unit is to separate the hydrocarbons floating on the water due to the water contaminated with petroleum liquids.

    Typically, the Separator API is the first and most important step in wastewater treatment at oil and gas refineries. The primary task of the well-designed Separator API is to remove most of the oil and solid particles suspended from the effluent before it enters the treatment process.

     

    The refinery wastewater may contain oil in three states (one or all three states) :

    • Free oil and completely free
    • In the form of an emulsion
    • As a solution

    Introducing the main non-metallic components of the API pool

    API pool equipment usually includes a chain wheel system with an electric drive motor and paddles mounted on the chains, which are used to move sludge and heavy sediment from the bottom of the ponds.

    In the design of this system, corrosion-resistant non-metallic materials have been used against chemical solutions and most of its constituent components, including:

    Attachment, Filler block, Scraper, Chain, Sprocket, Pine, wear shoe Made of durable plastic material.
